40X56  cm watercolor with ink brush on 300 grm fabriano paper. landscape of desert scape with three palms .  An artist stands in every generation between the past and the future. So is art. Many of the forms and styles we see in museums are from artists and art movements of the past, many of which become a part of us so deeply because we have seen them from childhood to adulthood time and time again. They were adopted by our parents, and our culture. We are influenced by them and they accompany our culture throughout the centuries. This is a black ink and brush with  watercolor painting I did recently. Part of my way of exploring perception and how to transform the optical illusion of the eye into my selection of lines and spots to create the impression of a landscape. In the landscape we find many items to choose from and we have to understand how to convey them to the observer. It's not just the landscape I want to create, but my way of seeing it.
