Creation

Creation begins with an empty room that you make in your space, and then with an empty canvas, paper or other empty space, to start creating in it. You have nothing to start with, not even a scrap of idea, but you don't need to, you know that your lack of knowledge of what to create is an advantage, and allows you to create a world that doesn't exist, one that you are creating right now. Step after step,  pace after pace  with dimensions that are stain and line, stain and line in many combinations. When you create, you use the knowledge you have learned and ideas that developed while painting in the past, but mostly what you are busy creating, each stain or line is a decision in a set of decisions called creation.

It's a new experience every time. You don't pull on the trails of the last piece you created or the style you chose, but you simply create something new in the void you gave it space for. That's why you paint or draw  on a blank surface That it will not collide with another creation, neither yours nor anyone else's. If you are lucky, when creating you will know how to use your abilities that you have learned and trained yourself to achieve.   abilities are the railroad tracks on which your creative train travels. You are the locomotive. When you in front of the canvas, you start anew every time with a room you made to yourself, an empty space, a page or paper and create the first stain and from there on begins your journey in this work that you are doing now.

When I create a work, it is my universe that I create. When the creation ends, the universe ends and it remains recorded on the media in which I created it. The creation is important and not what remains as a record of it although it is beautiful to watch. In the next creation to come I will create another universe. The universe that was created ended as soon as its creation was finished. What remains engraved in the physical world for the benefit of others and in my own eyes is no longer the creation but its documentation.
